I am quickly stopping in to mention a company that offers moms at home an opportunity to be a customer support agent from home. The company is called West At Home and it is worth taking some time to read their web site and check them out. I will be looking later today for some reviews and opinions about this company, and will post what I find out later today. But in the meantime, if anyone checks the company out and wants to share, please do so!!
Happy Friday!

Hi Irene,
I did work with West a few years back. I have mixed thoughts about them for a couple of reasons. First of all, if you are a mom, especially with little ones, it will be quite difficult. And the pay varies, there really is no guarantee if that's what someone is looking for, a set wage, not here.
How it works is West routes incoming calls to you, at home, as if you are in a call center, taking orders for any number of companies. They are very strict when it comes to the fact of "no" background noise. Which means no screaming kids running in while you're in the middle of a call. Try scheduling a block of time that you will work, ahead of time, and hope that the kiddos will be napping! (Almost impossible around here!)
If anyone is considering applying with them, I would suggest they ask how the pay works. When I was with them, we were paid only for actual talk time. This meant that one check I received, with 29 "scheduled hours" hours that I sat by my computer, most likely staring at the wall, I was only paid roughly $11. Not really worth it in my book?!
The good thing about them is the fact that they are an actual work at home job, they do not require you to pay anything to get started with them, or any fees monthly, nothing. They are also available and easily accessible really to anyone and everyone, something that is hard to find nowadays.
To sum it all up, I would say that if someone doesn't have little one's, or many distractions to deal with, and they have the ability to schedule "high call" times without interruptions, they could make some money. It just isn't something I would suggest any parent try to conquer, unless they absolutely had to.
Sorry it's so long! Maybe I should have just posted to my blog and then linked to it here. lol
Hope this helps!
